The new feature of warnings to help safeguarding vaccines is now incorporated into the latest SmartView version.

How it works:

While temperature alarms are standard and widely utilized, Berlinger’s SmartView introduces an additional layer of defense through automated warnings.

Warnings serve as advance indicators, alerting users to the possibility of a temperature excursion, providing valuable time to take corrective action.

Warnings help to proactively manage the cold chain, without waiting until an alarm occurs and staff needs to become responsive to the alarm.

Users have the possibility to define multiple warnings, each set at any preferred temperature. This customization empowers users to tailor the warnings to their specific needs.

The feature of warnings is now accessible, and can unlock the full potential with the Berlinger SmartMonitor SITE L that has been specifically designed for fridge monitoring use, with low operational expenses (and of course PQS prequalified).

PQS Prequalification for SmartMonitor SITE L (Remote Temperature Monitoring)

The SmartMonitor SITE L, the remote temperature monitoring device from Berlinger's latest condition monitoring platform SmartSystem, is PQS prequalified

Remote temperature monitoring of refrigerator/freezers with SmartSystem:

The SmartMonitor SITE L provides temperature monitoring information locally and remotely. Temperature alarms are given visually and acoustically. At the same time, the device transmits status monitoring data to the central SmartView platform, which displays all measurement data, trends, and alarms.

SmartView also provides alarm notification to selected contacts cell phones and/or email. The SmartSystem includes the SmartView software and global mobile network coverage (cellular). The SmartMonitor features visual and audio alarms on the device.

The device covers a temperature range from -200 °C to +75 °C, with specific SmartSensors for different temperature ranges and up to 24 individually programmable alarm rules for temperature and humidity. The communication technologies included are
- Cellular LTE Cat M1 (4G/5G),
- NB–IoT,
- 2G,
- WiFi,
- GNSS.

The software platform SmartView can be used by multiple users without installing additional software. Temperature data can be integrated into other systems (LMIS etc.).

The SmartMonitor SITE L has been specifically designed for Global Health use, with low operational expenses of the solution.

The WHO PQS Standard TR06.4 defines three types of standard configurations of 30DTR:

• Type 1: Capable to monitor and programmed with alarm settings suitable for monitoring vaccine refrigerators at +2 to +8°C.
• Type 2: Capable to monitor and programmed with alarm settings suitable for monitoring vaccine freezers at -15 to -25°C.
• Type 3: Capable to monitor and programmed with alarm settings suitable for monitoring vaccine ultra-low temperatures at -70 to -80°C.

All three Types of configurations are now standardly available on all Berlinger Fridge-tags (2, 2E, 2L and Ultra Low).

Each of the configurations have their own colour label:

• Type 1: Yellow label, vaccine refrigerators at +2 to +8°C. Low alarm -0.5°C or below for 60min; high alarm +8°C or above for 10 hours.
• Type 2: White label,  vaccine freezers at -15 to -25°C. Low alarm -25°C or below for 60min; high alarm -15°C or above for 60min.
• Type 3: Blue label, vaccine ultra-low at -70 to -80°C. Low alarm -90°C or below for 60min; high alarm -60°C or above for 60min.

For Type 2 and Type 3 configurations, an external sensor has to be used due to the low temperatures.

For Type 1 configurations, an external can be used, at the preference of the user.
