Process + Technology reduces stockouts in Indonesia
JSI is partnering with Indonesia’s National Population & Family Planning Board (BKKBN) through the ‘Right Method, Right Time, My Choice’ project, to ensure women have consistent access to a range of contraceptive options across four provinces. A user-friendly inventory management and monitoring (MIM) tool has been developed to enable a dynamic consumption based resupply system. To facilitate monitoring of supply chain performance, the MIM tool is complemented by strategies to strengthen the timeliness, quality, and use of data through a mentorship program, on the job training, and WhatsApp groups. As a result of these interventions, overall stock out rates of contraceptives in the four regions have been reduced by 47% on average. Learn more.
