TAKE ACTION

AIRA director nominations close on Friday!

AIRA seeks individuals with a variety of skill sets, styles, and experiences to be a part of the board. Recognize the great work of your colleagues and nominate them (or yourself!) today! Joining the AIRA board of directors is a great way to make new connections while positively impacting the IIS community.

The nomination form will close Friday, June 30 at 12 noon ET. Once your nomination is approved, you will be asked to complete a board application by 12 noon ET on Thursday, July 6.

All four open director positions serve two-year terms. Three of the available positions are for individuals from IIS-member organizations, and one is for an individual from a non-IIS member organization. The new term begins in October.

More information regarding board member responsibilities can be found on the director nomination form

Thank you for assisting AIRA in carrying out its mission and supporting our community!

IIP Awareness Survey

We invite you to participate in the Immunization Integration Program (IIP) Awareness Survey, aimed at assessing the impact of the IIP's published resources on the IIS community.

The goal of the IIP is to improve immunization data exchange by advancing immunization capabilities in electronic health records (EHRs) and collaborating with partners to identify and address immunization interoperability challenges. To tackle these challenges, the IIP has established the Collaborative, fostering a network of immunization data exchange partners. This network prioritizes, develops, and drives the adoption of solutions to improve interoperability.

We value your insights and experience in evaluating the impact of the Collaborative’s published resources within the IIS community. Your participation will help shape our implementation strategies and future initiatives to ensure their effectiveness.

The survey will be available from June 28 to July 21. We encourage you to participate to ensure your valuable input is included. Should you have any questions or require further support, please don’t hesitate to email the IIP team at Esta dirección de correo electrónico está siendo protegida contra los robots de spam. The Minnesota Department of Health is seeking to update their current data request process. The goal of the project is to improve the data request process and use the information to consider additional external-facing data visualizations to reduce the number of data requests. Specifically, they are interested in learning about:

Process:

  • What is your data request process?
    • Do you have different processes for internal agency requests? If yes, what are they?
    • Do you have different processes for media requests? If yes, how are they handled?
  • Who completes the data extractions?
  • How do you manage data requests?
  • What information do capture for tracking data requests?
  • Does your IIS charge for data requests?
    • If yes, in what situations?

Implementation:

  • What application(s) do you use to manage data requests?
  • How many staff you have for fulfilling data requests?
