Development of an affordable, effective vaccine against meningitis A is a milestone in public health. The new vaccine, the result of a partnership between PATH and the World Health Organization called the Meningitis Vaccine Project, has the potential to stop a disease that regularly kills or disables thousands in Africa. Now, we must make sure that those who need the vaccine get it.
