For countries planning malaria vaccine introduction, WHO has developed training packages of slide sets in English and French on key topics for health workers that can be downloaded and customized to meet specific country needs.
Module 0 - Overview
Module 1 - Introduction to malaria infection and disease in children
Module 2 - Malaria vaccine characteristics & storage conditions (RTS,S/AS01 or Mosquirix)
Module 3 - Malaria vaccine schedule and contraindications
Module 4 - Malaria vaccine administration (RTS,S/AS01 or Mosquirix)
Module 5 - Recording and monitoring of malaria vaccine doses
Module 6 - Adverse event following immunization (AEFI) monitoring
Module 7 - Communicating about the malaria vaccine with caregivers
Module 8 - Missed opportunities for vaccination

Training materials should be adapted to the local context and, where necessary, should be translated into local languages to be well understood by targeted audiences, including health workers and community health workers.
