  • Tonight there will be a special side session titled Using your Cold Chain Temperature Data to Make Refrigerators Work. During this session, we will dig into the details of cold chain equipment (CCE) temperature data. With all of the temperature data now available through remote temperature monitoring devices (RTMDs) and 30DTRs, we have an opportunity to bring together the different areas of expertise to better understand what the temperature data is telling us about CCE maintenance in a practical way. And we need your help to do this. Tonight, October 17, at 18:30 in Breakout Room #2 (across from the Innovations Cafes).

Updated guidance to support countries in the development of National Immunization Strategies (NIS) is now available in English, French and Russian at https://www.who.int/teams/immunization-vaccines-and-biologicals/vaccine-access/planning-and-financing/nis. The Guidance is accompanied by a new and simplified costing approach to support the NIS process, NIS.COST https://immunizationeconomics.org/unicef-niscost, as well as guidance on Annual Operational Planning (AOPs).

It also supports a dialogue between Ministry of Health and Finance leads to ensure an agreed financial envelope is available to fund NIS key strategic priorities. This first webinar in a series will provide an introduction to the new approach and the available guidance. The series will continue with sessions in 2022 focusing on specific steps in the NIS development process such as the costing approach and situation analysis.
