The COVID-19 emergency and vaccine introduction led countries to invest in new immunization information systems to collect, manage, and use COVID-19 vaccination data. Governments are wondering whether these systems and their new functionalities could be used to support routine immunization objectives, such as improved tracking of immunization defaulters or sending reminder messages. The COVID-19 to routine immunization information system transferability assessment (CRIISTA) framework provides a systematic process for gathering evidence and making recommendations to inform these decisions. This webinar will provide an overview of the framework, key users and use cases, the recommended assessment process, and time for discussion and sharing of experiences. Launch: WHO Health Inequality Data Repository

To reduce inequities in immunization we first need to know where they are. Monitoring health inequalities is a basis for targeting interventions and resources where they are needed the most.

The Health Inequality Data Repository is the largest global collection of disaggregated data about health and determinants of health – with about 11 million data points across more than 2000 indicators. These data can be explored directly through the Health Equity Assessment Toolkit (HEAT), an interactive software which facilitates the examination of inequalities and the evaluation of relevant interventions to address them.

An informational webinar will introduce the WHO Health Inequality Data Repository and demonstrate its use with HEAT. You will hear from global stakeholders who will discuss the importance of the WHO Health Inequality Data Repository within their respective areas of work and across the SDGs.

Effective interventions to increase routine childhood immunization in L&MICs

In 2021, 25 million children missed out on essential vaccines, with childhood immunization falling for the second consecutive year. Increasing routine childhood immunization in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs) is an urgent challenge.

We invite you to join as 3ie present and discuss findings from a new Review of Reviews that synthesizes the best available evidence on effective interventions for improving routine child immunization outcomes in L&MICs.

The review, the largest of its kind, assesses the existing evidence on the interventions that are claimed to be effective in addressing the barriers related to access, delivery or demand.
