The USAID Medicines Technologies and Pharmaceutical Services (MTaPS) Program, in collaboration with the WHO Division of Medicines and Health Products are exited to launch this 1hr certificate course.
Managing COI is a responsibility for all of us who work in or manage the selection, purchase, supply, and use of medical products. Managing COI in our organizations increases transparency and reduces the risk of corruption and poor decisions. This course:
- Addresses what a COI, in the context of the public pharmaceutical system is and identifies potential adverse outcomes associated with these COIs
- Explains the need for preventing and mitigating these COIs
- Describes practical guidance provided by WHO on how to prevent and manage COIs in the public pharmaceutical system
- Outlines current COI issues in countries, and reflects on approaches to address them
- Adapts and applies good practices for preventing and managing COIs in the public pharmaceutical system.
